Yearly Eye Exams
Annual eye exams are the best way to maintain great vision and eye health throughout your lifetime! Our comprehensive eye examinations include measuring the refractive error as well as the focusing ability of your eyes. This helps us determine if your vision can be improved with glasses, contact lenses, laser surgery or CRT. In addition, our thorough eye health evaluations screen for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, retinal detachments and macular degeneration. We are also able to determine the presence of systemic conditions that appear in the eye such as diabetes, vascular irregularities, hypertension and thyroid disease.
Contact Lens Exams
Our office specializes in fitting standard soft contact lenses, contact lenses for astigmatism (toric contacts), multi-focal (bi-focal) contact lenses, colored contacts, gas permeable or hard contacts, as well as specialty contact lenses (ie sclerals, duettes, etc.). We carry over 30 different contact lens types and brands in our office, and have most prescriptions in stock.
If you wear contact lenses, please inform our front desk staff when scheduling your appointment. To find out if you are a candidate for contact lens wear, ask your doctor at your next exam.
Medical Eye Exams
Our medical eye exams are geared toward diagnosing, managing, and treating eye related diseases such as eye infections, eye allergies, and dry eyes. We also manage early diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, glaucoma as well as cataracts. Our state of the art facility and equipment allow us to follow your eye health closely and make appropriate treatment recommendations, ranging from lifestyle changes to medical, laser, or surgical options.
Emergency Office Visits
Emergency office visits are reserved for patients who experience acute or sudden onset of decreased vision, eye pain, redness or discomfort. We also remove Foreign Bodies that are lost or embedded in the eye. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please give us a call and we will arrange for you to be seen by one of our doctors often within 1-2 hours of your call.
Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT)
We now provide Corneal Refractive Therapy as an alternative to laser surgery for near-sighted or myopic patients. CRT is a completely reversible procedure that gently reshapes the cornea while you sleep. Unlike LASIK, CRT is completely safe and FDA approved for our younger patients under the age of 18 and can be used to slow the progression of near sightedness. Ask us if you are a candidate at your next appointment!
LASIK is an FDA approved refractive surgery procedure that corrects near and far sightedness, as well as astigmatism by permanently reshaping the cornea using a laser beam. We partner with the Bay Area's most reputable LASIK surgeons to provide our patients with the best possible outcomes. LASIK surgery requires a pre surgical assessment by our team to determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure, as well as several post surgical follow ups that track your healing progress. Call us today to schedule your free LASIK consultation!
We train the Extra-Ocular Muscles to work in sync - allowing you to converge and diverge appropriately. We also train the focusing system of the eye to facilitate clear vision at distance and at near. Vision Therapy helps correct eye-turns and double vision, and often leads to clearer and more comfortable vision.
